All SMART Academy classes focus on giving students a positive experience in the arts in pre-arranged after school programs. Students work together in band, orchestra and glee choir as ensembles which perform at the end of the semester. General Music opens children's minds and hearts to the joys of participatory music (age restricted).

SMART Academy for the Arts is an extended day program available in select districts. Only students attending a district school may sign up for classes in that district.

Cypress School District
CYP102: General Music, Thurs, 1:05 – 3:05
CYP103: Glee Choir, Thurs, 1:05 – 3:05


All classes will be held at Juliet Morris Elementary

Spring program dates are Feb 2, 2012 – June 12, 2012
(18 weeks). Excludes Spring Recess April 2 – 6.

CEN104: Band - at Dysinger Elementary

All Centralia classes are held on Mon & Wed, 2:40 – 3:40.

Please Note

  • Students are to be picked up promptly at the end of class. Additional costs will be assessed for chronic late pick up.
  • On the final day of class, a performance will take place for family and invited guests. 
  • Four monthly payments for class instruction provide for classes through the end of the term. No refunds are available when a child is withdrawn prior to the end of the session. Due to the ensemble nature of the class, we strongly encourage that all children attend all sessions.
  • SMART Academy activities are sometimes photographed for promotional purposes.  Parents who register their children also grant permission for such photography.
