Soli Music Depot takes over SMART Rental Program

In 2000 SMART developed a unique funding opportunity for schools called the Instrument Rental Partnership Program. Through this program SMART has served over 12,000 students with instruments and donated over $450,000 in funding and instruments to our local schools.

SMART is proud to announce that as of September 1, 2013 Soli Music Depot will be taking over the SMART Instrument Rental Program. Like SMART, Soli Music Depot is committed to serving the students of Orange County and they provided extended services such as private instruction and after school programs.

Soli Studios Depot is located in the SMART Foundation office at 26941 Cabot Rd #114, Laguna Hills. For information about Soli Music Depot and their programs please visit www.solimusicdepot.com or call 949-916-2435.

Get the Arts Effect

If you had to choose between the best and the second-best for your child, which would it be?

That's not a trick question. And it's not a difficult decision, either. Often the real question is, what is the absolute best we can do for our children?

We know our education system needs to be better. So how do we make it better?

Part of the solution is a strong, consistent education in the arts; starting at the youngest grades and lasting through every level of education. At first, this seems odd. How will being able to draw or sing help children succeed? You'd be surprised.

It's been proven that arts have an impact. A significant impact, in fact.

SAT Scores for students who have studied the arts are noticeably higher than those who haven't; up to 50 points on average. That's the arts effect.

College enrollment rates are higher for students in the arts. Dropout rates are lower. That's the arts effect.Girl Painting

People who have studied the arts have a higher chance of finding and retaining a satisfying job. Just ask Boeing, which now has a self-excluding question on their job applications asking whether applicants have studied the arts in school. You guessed it: the arts effect.

What is this arts effect? It's the life-changing impact that arts education has on children. Creative thinking, problem solving, critical thinking, and right-left brain coordination are all directly impacted for the better by studying music and the arts.

Should our children have the best? Help us get it for them.

An art student can better understand the creativity. It’s good to see that in last few years the trends of studying arts is on constant rise. Its not necessary that every child to be doctor or any other kind of professional. But he/she can be the good artist as an actor or a musician. In my childhood i don’t have such kind of services available near to my house. So its good trend.
